Where in Chatham County NC can you get a Waterfront Home?

Chatham County is home to one of the biggest lakes and reservoirs in the area – Jordan Lake. It’s over 14,000 acres, and it supplies homes and businesses in the area with fresh water. It has the largest population of Bald Eagles on the East Coast. You can’t build a home on that lake though.

What Chatham County does have is the Siler City Reservoir which is 145 acres. Three is limited access to this reservoir.

Some people might ask when a pond becomes a lake. There is no real definition. You can build on the Haw River or Rocky river where you can see the water, but the Haw River has some rally steep banks of more than 100 feet.  Brush Creek can be seen from many home sites, and I’ve sold a lot of property there. It’s considered one of the most scenic and least polluted waterways in North Carolina. We don’t have lake front, and it’s very rare to have a riverfront view.
